We’ve worked with European Bank for Reconstruction Development (EBRD) on a range of projects to help develop skilled and inclusive workforces. In Egypt, we collaborated with Majid Al Futtaim Group, on a project funded by EBRD and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of the Swiss Confederation. The project resulted in the setup of Almaza Recruitment and Training Centre to broaden access to employment and skills for young people and people with disabilities in the local area.

We’ve worked with the British Council on a range of projects to help develop skilled and inclusive workforces. In Georgia, we collaborated to develop a bespoke traineeship and apprenticeship programme for the hospitality industry, providing opportunities for young people to progress in the sector.

market thrive, then public bodies need to listen to the employers, and the industry needs young people with the skills and education that match their needs. People 1st provided us with the expertise to train our trainers that allowed us to set up traineeships and
apprenticeships, allowing us to share UK experience in TVET and tourism in particular with the sector in Azerbaijan.”

As part of the Skilled Young Palestine project led by Enabel to improve resilience and job opportunities for young people in Palestine, we were commissioned to design a skills development fund and provide coaching in its operationalisation.

 

Working in partnership with partner EFE Palestine, the coaching covered five areas: successful public private partnerships, quality assurance, recruitment & selection of trainees, gender equality and social inclusion and using labour market intelligence.

We’ve worked with the GIZ on a range of projects to help develop skilled and inclusive workforces. In Armenia, we collaborated to provide consultancy, guidance and coaching to help set up the tourism and wine production sector skills development centres.
