People1st's Research and Policy team take forward the sector's qualification's reform agenda.

As a team we are committed to providing robust, evidence based research and vocational policy that helps raise the skills and productivity of the sector through understanding the current and future skill needs of the sector, working with key partners to ensure that qualifications and programmes meet that need and working with employers and learning providers to maximise the opportunity to use them. In July 2007, we started work on our Sector Qualifications Strategy to reform the qualifications available to the sector. In order to achieve that aim it is critical that we can work in partnership with employers, learning providers, awarding bodies and other partners. We have a challenging programme of work that sets out the activities that are underway and are planned for 2007/2008.
