People 1st is continuously working to ensure that qualifications in our sector are fit for purpose.

In recent years, we have carried out significant qualification reform, removing outdated and innappropriate qualifications and developing robust career pathways to provide employers with the right people, with the right skills and knowledge. People 1st has worked with awarding organisations to completely change the landscape of qualifications for the sector.

We also conduct regular reviews of National Occupational Standards, which describe what an individual needs to do, know, and understand in order to carry out a particular job or function, for our industries.
