Our "Investor in Skills" packages offer online documents designed to help small and medium sized food businesses to grow and develop.

The packages were put together by industry experts with combined experience of over 30 years. The practices within them are carried out on a daily basis by successful PLCs, and SME owners can benefit from them too. All the documents available here are free of charge.

Level 1 - Safe and Legal

• Food Safety - Our Food Safety documents set out to simplify HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) procedures, providing you with a Food Safety Policy that actually works, and all the supportive documentation that you need.
• Food Preparation & Deployment – These documents will help to speed up and simplify many of the processes involved in food preparation. They will enable you to order more effectively and increase profit available from purchases.
• Business Forecasting & Staff Hours Management - The documents in our package will help you to create forecasts for daily and weekly sales. They draw on a wealth of operating experience,making them a valuable resource for both beginners and those who already have some experience of forecasting.

Level 2 - Understanding and Developing Profit

• Food Safety Management – These tools have been developed within businesses and provide you with the ability to audit hygiene and food practices in a structured manner.
• Making the Most From Your Business – These tools will help you to recognise your current seating capacity, increase cover turn, and create your own profit and loss model through a step by step approach. They will also help you to calculate a wine pricing policy, and control cash on the premises along with creating a payroll record.
• Maximising Profit From Food – Our package contains automated Daily Food Prep sheets and a basic Food Stock System that will suit all food businesses – recognising purchases, wastage and staff feeding, and including a stock count sheet and summary. It also includes a Food Sales Mix tool and Theoretical Margin calculator.
