Disney Institute Programme 2010
The National Skills Academy for Hospitality is providing an opportunity for hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism businesses across the UK to learn from the best, as it extends its groundbreaking Disney Institute programme for 2010.
Following the success of the 2009 programme, the 2010 plans include:
- A five-day London-based seminar
- A series of 90-minute webcasts, broadcast live over the internet from Orlando, direct to subscribing companies' offices and training venues
- A bespoke exclusive trip to Disney Institute HQ, Orlando, including behind the scenes tours in the 'live laboratory' of the Walt Disney World Resort (limited to 20 places)
Management and leadership is one of the key skills shortage areas in the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism sectors. When replacement demand is taken into account, 290,000 additional management positions will need to be filled in the industry by 2017.
David McHattie, chief executive of the National Skills Academy for Hospitality, said: “Disney Institute is a world-class trainer used by top companies internationally to build leadership, service and business skills. We are extremely excited by this outstanding opportunity for the sector to experience and learn from one of the world's most respected brands.”
