The Diploma in Travel and Tourism

The Diploma in Travel and Tourism will assist students in developing the skills employers value, thus gaining learning experiences relevant to the modern work place.

In the past 18 months, People 1st has worked closely with employers, trade organisations and learning providers to agree the content of the Diploma and is now working with awarding bodies to develop the actual qualification framework.

Employers will be able to work with teachers and learning providers to support the qualification, and get first access to the quality job candidates it will produce.

The Diploma in Travel and Tourism will be introduced in schools from September 2010, and is being developed in partnership with GoSkills, the sector skills council for passenger transport.
