The Diploma in Hospitality

The Diploma in Hospitality is a new and exciting qualification for young people in England that helps them to develop the skills to work in a wide range of careers.

Having guided a very committed group of employers through the development process, People 1st is looking forward to achieving one of industry's long-cherished ambitions – to see cooking back on the school curriculum.

Over recent months consortia consisting of schools, colleges and employers have been bidding to offer the Diploma, and 142 bids were received in total.

Of these bids, 60 percent were successful, and these will begin delivering the Diploma in Hospitality from September 2009.
