The Diploma in Hospitality

The Diploma in Hospitality is a new and exciting qualification for young people in England that helps them to develop the skills to work in a wide range of careers.

September 2009 marked a milestone in hospitality education, as the Diploma was introduced in schools and colleges for the first time.

Following three years of consultation and input from businesses, it combines theory with practical learning to ensure that learners gain the skills, knowledge and experience employers really need. It also achieves on of industry's long-cherished ambitions - to see cooking back on the school curriculum.

The Diploma in Hospitality is backed by 35 senior employer "champions", and is a great example of joint co-operation and commitment between industry and education in the hospitality sector.

The Diploma in Hospitality has its own website with information for students, parents, schools, colleges, higher education and employers. Visit the site to find out more.
