Vocational Learning

Vocational learning encompasses the entire education and training system from schools through to lifelong learning.

People 1st's vocational learning team work with industry to set national occupational standards, develop apprenticeship and foundation degree frameworks and determine which qualifications need to be developed to meet industry needs. To some extent, each UK country has its own education system and the team's work therefore takes a country by country approach to improving standards in training and education.

The departments work is crucial in ensuring that employers and staff have the qualifications, training and education that are fit for purpose and show clear progression routes throughout the sector.

One of the teams latest challenges is to work with industry to develop the new 14-19 diploma that is set to change the face of school education in England.

If you are an employer and would like to be involved in this important aspect of our work – influencing the future education and training of current and future staff - then please contact us.
