Research

People 1st Research is a dedicated team of quantitative and qualitative researchers who support the role of the Sector Skills Council. Our mission is to produce robust and impartial intelligence that identifies and analyses the skills and labour market needs of the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism sector.

As well as supporting the work of People 1st, the team also undertake a wide variety of commercial work for external agencies like Business Links, Regional Development Agencies, and Learning and Skills Councils. Our specific knowledge of the sector's labour market and our close links with employers ensures that not only can we produce robust research at competitive rates, but we can also provide a level of interpretation and analysis that many commercial providers fail to capture.
